The perfect boyfriend jeans

Did you know that the average American owns about 7 pairs of jeans? I own around 17 pairs (oops). Jeans are definitely a necessity, whether it's to keep you warm in the winter, to wear the latest denim trends or just a comfortable pair of jeans. A lot of people have trouble finding the "perfect of pair jeans", including me. Believe it or not, the reason I have so many pairs of jeans isn't because I just go out and buy them, I am very particular on what the jean looks like. Since I have grown up with getting my denim taste from my mom who works in the fashion business, I try to look for more eco-friendly jeans. Not many people think of trying to save the environment when buying a pair of jeans, but I think that as a Generation Z member, it should be something to think about. I would recommend looking for jeans made out of Tencel. The difference between Tencel and Cotton is that Tencel is a sustainable fiber made from the wood pulp of trees, which means it is recycled from the Earth. Tencel is also softer, stronger and wrinkles way less than cotton. I know I hate when my clothes get wrinkled. Cotton uses more land and water to make than Tencel.

I have three pairs of boyfriend jeans. The first pair I have are from Hollister. They are a darker shade of blue and made of cotton. They are super uncomfortable to wear and they fit somewhat weirdly too. They come up too high so my entire ankle is showing which wasn't really what I was going for. At first, I thought I got the wrong size, since sometime jean sizes are confusing because they either run too big or too small, but I had the right size. Unfortunately, I had already taken the tags off of those jeans, so I couldn't return them. The second pair, which I love, are from Abercrombie and Fitch. So you might be thinking, "well aren't Hollister and Abercrombie and Fitch basically the same thing?" My answer to that is no. Although they are sister brands-meaning they are both owned by the same parent company- Abercrombie and Fitch is much better quality, while Hollister is cheaper. My A&F boyfriend jeans are super comfortable and trendy at the same time. They have a light wash and holes in them, so I could stay with the "holes in the jeans" trend. They fit really good and they match so many of my other clothes. My last pair are from Uniqlo and they are Tencel!! They are my favorite pair because they are most trendy and the most comfortable ones out of them all. They have the fringe on the feet, which is super cool. They originally didn't come with holes, but lucky for me, my mom has a machine to make holes (called a dremel), so she helped me make my own holes. I decided to make big holes so I could wear the fishnet tights underneath the jeans. So I have three of the biggest denim trends in one pair of jeans!
